Access to the laboratory presents an interactive contemporary laboratory equipped with clickable apparatus and accessories. When a student enters this part of the exhibition, a Master's student invites him to discover the use and mode of operation of various pieces of contemporary research equipment. The student then gains access to the laboratory and can choose one of thirteen illuminated areas by clicking on it. A video or an image as well as an explanatory text on the object will then become available.

All the objects in Access to the laboratory are also in the Catalog of laboratory apparatus, which contains a total of 32 objects. In the Catalog of laboratory apparatus the objects are classified according to the following categories:

  • Viewing instruments
  • Measuring instruments
  • Preparation and preservation instruments
  • Analysis instruments

The four video sequences in Access to the laboratory can also be found in the Video Guide to using the apparatus.

Here is a list of the available video sequences:

  • Automatic sampler
  • Cell culture room
  • Electron microscope
  • Mass spectrometer
